| Further details |
Saleres is one of the most traditional, tranquil and less developed villages in the Lecrin valley. There are no bars, restaurants or shops in the village but it is within a short driving distance (10 mins) of surrounding villages which contain several restaurants and bars, grocery shops, banks, pharmacists, garages and post office. However there are several white vans which regularly come into the village supplying fresh produce such as bread, fish, eggs and meat.
The location is ideal for special interests. There are several local companies around the area which hire bicycles. It is becoming very popular with mountain bikers given the terrain. It is also a fantastic walking area as you can set of for a walk from the front door of the apartment. The GR7 long distance footpath runs up the the hill behind the village and then onto Lanjaron. There are many tracks and paths that run through woods and orange and lemon groves as well as alongside streams.
There is also a public swimming pool in the nearby village as well as the fun packed water parks in Almunecar (1 hours drive) and Granada (40 minutes drive).
Horse riding is available as there are various stables in the valley and also on the coast with rides on the beach. In the mountain areas long daily rides are available together with a picnic to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. |
