Namaste, you have found a very special and unique travel company. As a small, independent, but well established tour operator we provide holidays with a difference. Due to the small group size of 8 to 12 people we are able to take you off the beaten tourist trail in a relaxed and informal way. No rushing around or overnight stays.
We are proud of the fact that we can show you India as a traveller and not as a tourist and know that when you want more from a holiday than just knowing you have been there, we can do just that. India is developing at an incredible pace, but we can still find villages and artisans, living and working in the same traditional ways as they have for centuries. All you have to do is to come with us on our longstay breaks and witness these traditions for yourself before they are lost forever.
Our knowledge and experience of travelling around India has been gained over a period of 20 years and to say that we have been successful is an understatement, as many of our repeat bookings have confirmed. We have an enviable reputation having gained a lot of respect from both our travellers and hosts in India. We have never believed in racing around India as it is a culture that deserves a sympathetic and understanding approach, but now on our new longstay breaks we are going to take an even more leisurely approach to travel.
So, it is with great excitement that in 2016 we will be launching our new long stay breaks. These will appeal to the lovers of literature, film and music. During January we will be going to the Jaipur Literature Festival and the Rajasthan International Film Festival. During October we will be going to the Riff Music Festival in Jodhpur. We have been agonising over what to call them, is it a holiday, a tour, a break, or a staycation? So we have decided not to call them anything in particular other than your own very special time to get away from it all. Get away from the winter, get away from the cold, get away and have an adventure in India.
On these new trips, we will be taking you to India for 4 weeks during which time you can do as much or as little as you choose. Many of our previous travellers have often told us just how much they would have loved to have spent more time soaking up the Indian culture, well now you can. Whatever you decide to do, you will not be disappointed. During your time away with us, we will also be offering you optional extra activities and places for you to visit, but you decide what you want to do or see and so in effect you are shaping your own time in India as you wish.
In addition, Lynette Baker will be leading a 2 week photographic tour going to the very essence of Calcutta and the fragile land of Orissa where there are still several indigenous tribes. An opportunity to capture images of a way of life and culture before it is lost forever.
